If I had a dollar for every time someone ask the question, "What do you get when you breed a blah blah to a whosit?" Don't get me wrong...it's a very fair question and all part of the learning process.
What I have done here is rather than get into all kinds of genetic jargon that is hard to understand and confusing, I have broken down the types of basic genetics that exist in ball pythons today, and provided a visual image to illustrate the outcome of different breeding scenarios.
I'm not going to get into the double het, triple threat, who knows what the heck that means, descriptions. I wanted this to be a basic tool. Hopefully it will have some value to beginners in this hobby.
Just click on the category you are interested in. I use model snakes to represent the genetic formula. For example for the 'Recessive" model I used an Albino. It applies to all recessive mutations. I did the same for 'Dominant' and 'Codominant' as well.
Also please check out or 'Genetics 101' by Randy Remington.
The morph listings below are listed in each category in the order that they were proven genetic.
Hope you like.
